Why is grooming your dog important?

Regular grooming is an essential part of your dog's overall health and mental well-being and it makes your dog look beautiful. When we meet you and your pup we start with a consultation where we discuss your needs and expectations, offer our expertise, make suggestions and help to make the best choice for your dog.

Our dog grooming prices may vary based on the condition and length of the coat, the size and temperament of your pooch.

We always have your pooch's best interest at heart because we believe that a clean dog is a happy dog.

Meet Our Team

Anna

Some years ago, when my partner became ill, I realised that I couldn't see myself continuing in my hospitality career and wanted to change my job. I was terrified. I didn't know what I wanted to do and whether I would be able to learn something new. At that time, my partner and I decided to get a dog and a little dachshund Lucy appeared in my life. During our long walks, I decided I'd like to work with dogs.

At the same time, my friend Kasia also wanted to change her situation Down Under. And so we decided to team up, and Dog World Grooming was born.

Opening our grooming parlour was the best decision I could have made then. Grooming dogs can be physical. However, it is interesting, creative, and fun. I love working with dogs as it gives me great satisfaction and fulfilment. The best part about being my own boss is that there is no limit to my creativity. I also get to work with my friend and a business partner. We share the ups and downs of our everyday lives and make each other laugh. Together we have created a great work environment for ourselves.

Thanks to the experience of opening my own business, I learned to enjoy living in the moment, being the boss of my thoughts, and being kind to myself. We always have two choices when fear of failure or uncertainty creeps up on us: be scared and do nothing, or face our fears and make something positive happen.

Anna and I decided to start our own grooming business in 2018 when my life turned upside down, and I needed a new project to concentrate on and forget about the pain I was going through. I feared starting something from scratch and relocating back to Europe from Australia, where I'd lived for the last decade.

I decided to volunteer at a grooming studio near my home in Melbourne and was lucky enough to secure
a spot. Everyone was young and eager to show me everything I needed to know. I thought I could never hold scissors in my hand as other groomers did.

When I finally returned to London, I signed up for a grooming course at a Dog Grooming Studio in Wandsworth. As I was confident when trimming a dog's entire body, I was uncomfortable cutting around their eyes and snouts. My favourite teacher was my business partner Anna. I knew that I needed to practice and practice some more. And so, I did that. I practised under Anna's watchful eye to improve and contribute more
to our business. I wanted to make Anna proud, but I wanted to make myself proud most of all.

Today I can proudly say that I have grown to be a confident groomer, but this is not the endpoint. There is still a lot to comprehend, and I am learning new tricks every day, but I'm doing it at a job I love. If you trust your gut, keep believing in yourself and surround yourself with people who bring the best out of you, you can make magic happen.
