Our Story.

Dog World Grooming was born not just from a love of dogs, but from a love of creating space for trust, care, and joy. First between us, then between people and their pets.

  • We don’t remember the day we met, because we were always there.

We grew up on the same street, went to the same schools, and played handball on the same team. Our friendship was stitched together through thousands of small moments.

Life took us in different directions; different universities, new adventures, but we always found our way back to each other. From London to Australia, we shared the same dream: to create something that was ours. Something that mattered.

Dog World Grooming was born not just from a love of dogs, but from a love of creating space for trust, care, and joy. First between us, then between people and their pets.

It all started with a wild Christmas idea (and a few too many G&Ts). What followed was a leap of faith, and a boutique salon built with heart, courage, and a lot of grit.

We opened right at the start of the pandemic.

    It was terrifying.

There were days when no one called. Days we questioned everything.

But we showed up, every day.

We groomed every dog like they were our own and built trust, one client at a time.

    Slowly, word spread.

Our puppy grooming package became one of our proudest offerings, helping dogs and their owners start their grooming journey with confidence and care.

    Soon, we were fully booked.

    Our once-small dream was growing.

    But the biggest shift?

We realised we didn’t just want to groom, we wanted to teach.

To share what we’d learned. To help others find the same freedom and purpose we had found.

And so, Dog World Grooming Academy was born.

A hands-on training space for beginners, built inside a real salon, with the same warmth, support, and real-world experience that built our business from scratch.

Today, Dog World Grooming is more than a salon.

It’s a place where dreams begin.

It’s a family built on friendship, trust, and a shared love of dogs.

And it’s proof that even in the hardest moments, something beautiful can grow, when you have the right people beside you.

  • Co-founder, Dog World Grooming Salon & Academy

When I made the difficult decision to leave behind a relationship and a life I once loved in Melbourne, I promised myself one thing: I would rebuild on my own terms.

I didn’t know exactly what that would look like, but I knew I wanted freedom. Something creative, meaningful, and entirely mine.

Returning to Europe was both terrifying and full of possibility. It was during one of those messy, hope-filled nights back in London that Anna and I dreamed up Dog World Grooming.

I had no grooming experience at the time, just a deep love for dogs, a stubborn belief in new beginnings, and a friend who believed in me. With Anna’s support, I threw myself into training, practiced relentlessly, and trusted the process until that dream became real.

Opening a salon during a global pandemic was never part of the plan. There were weeks with no clients, no roadmap, and no guarantee it would work. But we kept going, grooming each dog with care, treating each person with kindness, and letting word of mouth do the rest.

Slowly, our salon began to grow. Our puppy package became a local favourite. And then, something clicked: I realised we weren’t just grooming, we were helping people, too.

That’s when the Academy was born. A space for others to learn what we had learned: that it’s never too late to start again, and that fulfilment can be found in the most unexpected places.

Today, I’m proud to call myself a dog groomer, business owner, and mentor.

This life wasn’t handed to me, I’ve built it from scratch, together with my lifelong friend. And being in a space filled with laughter, cute dogs, and fresh starts, I know it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

A few years ago, life nudged me in an unexpected direction.

I had built a successful career in hospitality, fast-paced, structured, and all about people. But when my partner became seriously ill, everything shifted.

On long walks with Lucy, our little dachshund, I found myself questioning what truly mattered. I realised I wanted more than a career. I wanted fulfilment. I wanted to work with dogs.

Not just love them, but care for them. Help them feel safe, calm, and understood. That desire planted a seed that wouldn’t go away.

When Kasia and I started talking about Dog World, it felt like a wild leap, exciting and terrifying all at once. We’d been friends since childhood, and though we’d never run a business before, we shared a clear vision.

We opened our doors at the start of the pandemic. It was tough. But we showed up every day, poured our hearts into every groom, and slowly built a salon full of warmth, trust, and wagging tails.

Over time, we realised we didn’t just want to groom dogs, but we wanted to help people learn how to do it too. Watching our academy students grow into confident groomers is one of the greatest joys of my career.

Today, I’m not just a groomer. I’m a business owner, mentor, and someone who helps dogs (and people) feel more confident and cared for.

This journey has taught me that fear isn’t a stop sign.

It’s just part of the path to something extraordinary.
